| This installation is called "Daphne Garden". It is an instalation that was part of a larger project."Art in the Garden." The city of Chicago has decided to keep the installation where it is untill September 2005. I am not sure where it will go after that. The garden is about Daphne. She was running away from Apollo who wanted to capture her. She had run out of options. She called upon her father, the river god,to help her. He turned her into a laurel tree to save her from Apollo. The garden is celebrating the moment she realized that she was free. She surrendered to the unknown and got freedom. |
